In 1936, Shigeo Ogawa set up his original machine-shop, making model steam engines. At the same time the first 1.6 cc O.S. Type-1 miniature gasoline engine was made. 200 production models sold under the name “Pixie” were exported. A short time later the O.S. brand came about. The 65AX is the next generation of "60 size" class airplane engines. It features the same bolt pattern as the original 61FX, though is 1.9 ounces lighter. The 61D carburetor has an angled back needle valve which keeps your fingers much further away from a spinning propeller. Twin ball bearings support the hardened steel crankshaft for the ultimate in efficiency. Includes E-4010A muffler, a #8 glow plug and a needle extension cable set. Angular head design looks great and significantly increases surface area for better cooling. This ABL (Advance Bimetallic Liner) sleeved engine will provide years of power and reliability. Fuel for this engine is recommended to use 5~20% nitro, with at least 18% oil content.
