In 1936, Shigeo Ogawa set up his original machine-shop, making model steam engines. At the same time the first 1.6 cc O.S. Type-1 miniature gasoline engine was made. 200 production models sold under the name “Pixie” were exported. A short time later the O.S. brand came about. With the GT60, O.S. gives fliers of 50 cc models everything they want in a gasoline engine — durability, efficiency, easy operation and super-strong performance. O.S. takes advantage of liner-less cylinder construction for benefits that include lower weight, improved cooling, and exceptionally efficient exhaust scavenging. A rear-mounted Walbro carburetor is custom designed for the GT60 the IG-02 ignition system provides dependable operation. A choke rod guide has been integrated into the crankcase for effortless set-up. Dual roller bearings on the the connecting rod allows you to run up to 50:1 fuel/oil mixture, (check oil brand) which is very clean running compared to messy nitro fuel. Balanced, optimized crankshaft for vibration control and improved performance. Twin ball bearings support the hardened steel crankshaft for the ultimate in efficiency. Fuel for this engine is recommended to use 87 octane and a quality 2-stroke oil, mixed at 30~50 parts fuel, to 1 part oil.
