The Z1-Pro has 3 different modes to give you ultimate freedom ; Locking Mode, Heading Following Mode, and Heading/Pitch Following Mode.

Locking Mode: Heading, Pitch and Roll are locked.

Heading Following Mode: Pitch and Roll are locked. Heading rotates, allowing you to follow the subject smoothly.

Heading and Pitch Following Mode: Roll is locked, Heading and Pitch rotate smoothly to follow the direction of the handheld unit.

The Z-1 range of gimbals is designed for use with the GoPro range of cameras, but may be used with similar cameras with modifications.
